'merica

I woke up to rain this morning, how fitting.

The car was 90% packed, I just had to throw in my TV, pillows/blankets, and other *trinkets*.

(Not too full)

On my way to Chicago, I began to cycle through the mixed CDs from high school. Music ranged from Sum 41, to Ozzy Osbourne, Screaming Headless Torsos, Chicago, and Youngblood Brass Band (to answer your question, no, I didn't listen to Chicago because I was travelling to Chicago--not that dorky).

I stopped in Chicago to visit Nick Lee, the ripped Asian sensation from my book selling days. It was a little confusing getting there,

but I made it right in time for his lunch break.

We got Gino's Deep Dish Pizza (Cheese and Sausage).

(ripped)

It vvas delish.

I was out of Chicago by 1:30 and then came the long haul of driving. I called Suzie Blackman and we chatted for about an hour-- she's recently moved to San Francisco and I made her save all communication until today when we would have mucho time for talking.

(Dixie!)

The rain stopped around Springfield, IL and after more driving and jamming to a new mixed-CD, I arrived in St. Louis.
(Overly angelic?)

I checked into a Comfort Inn (outside of the city to avoid morning traffic), checked out my comfy room and turned on the TV... America's Got Talent was on. After watching this fantastic Fox programming, I went to a fine dinner establishment, Ruby Tuesdays- table for one, please.

Just livin' the American Dream.
