First week

actually teaching is well under way. My first day was great going over rules, rewards and procedures.
The second day (yesterday) teaching Small Group English Language Arts was pretty good. The kids didn't really get it so that showed me that I didn't teach it very well. I came back today, really hammered home the key points from yesterday AND today. It was great.
Today they learned vocabulary like apprehensive, mastodon and can every explain what an inference is.

I have 7! lesson plans due tomorrow (next week I'll be teaching a whole group and also another small group for ELA aka 2 lesson plans a day). I have 6 rough drafts due tomorrow and also my final lesson plan for Thursday (tomorrow).
I also have to plan a 1 hour long session of Academic Intervention which is basically extra remediation, and I should create "focus sheets" for students to fill out after their 4th warning.

It's been non-stop work from 6am to an average of midnight. Tonight will be long for sure, I just didn't want to leave anyone out of the loop.

I love to teach. don't act surprised.
