(summer) School's Out

During the last week, we had testing in all subjects. You can see above that this one particular student was enthralled in her book.

Jordan - my Texan coworker - works with the chillen'
He will be a 4th grade writing teacher placed at a different school in the fall

A student feverishly fills in the Math assessment (and the weekly lesson that I taught them)

I also worked with him in Academic Intervention Hour focusing on Reading. The final week's focus was Author's Purpose so for the Persuasive purpose.. I had them write me a persuasive letter on...

nommmmm

So we've had this entire week off and I've been spending it relaxing and running many errands.
We finally moved in to the apartment and are starting to piece things together...

Last Saturday, we moved in and then went to go see
 Inception

I highly recommend.

After the movie I recognized that I felt proud that I understood it all, and then took a further step back to say I was proud of a movie for making me proud to understand it.
It was good.

Then the next morning we went to get brunch at Baby Barnaby's (see above picture tambien)

It has a very San Fran vibe (see the posters on the wall [shout out to Sooz])

As a teacher, I won't be paid until mid-August / September so I'm living off whatever I have.
